Ukulele Passion

We were so fortunate to hear Jake Shimabukuro play his amazing ukulele music and talk to us about the word “passion” during our last ‘Ohana gathering. His passion is his ukulele. Jake said he hopes each of you finds your passion. What does he mean by that? What are you passionate about? What factors do you think helps us find our passions?

I am passionate about my friends and my family. Right now i am also passionate about finishing my M&M jigsaw puzzel. I am passionate about these things cause I love being with my friends and family. I think the puzzle is just for now.

My passion is playing football with my brothers. How does Jake do the ten finger strum? How does he do that thing so fast? I think his mom taught him a lot of stuff. How does he make those songs? Jake is super duper good.

I am passionate about singing and dancing and I would want to be in a concert. I will sing and dance to lots of people.

My passion is my family and my stuffed animal named Soft Rabbit she takes me to sleep when I am NOT tired and I will NEVER EVER give her AWAY!!!!!!

My passion is playing soccer as a goalie and defender, doing 1,000 piece puzzles,reading, writing, and lots more like making my friends laugh and spending time with best buds.I really liked how Jake Shimabukuro took alot of his time to play the “ukulele” for us.I really loved how when he played, each time he went faster and faster until he went so fast that when he strummed, I could hardly see his hand. I’m glad I wasn’t absent! I feel bad for the people who missed it because it was so fun to see him live. I am still really shocked, surprised, and amazed on how he could play the piano, the electric guitar and a few more instruments(well,actully alot) on just 1, and ONLY ONE instrument. That WAS SO exciting. I really, really, really hope that he can come visit Kamehameha again.

Im passionate about playing high school football for kamehameha! I would like to play collage football in alabama. I would really like it if I could play pro football for the indiananapolis colts!

I am passionate for my family, my friends, and my pets. I think my pets are just for right now. But my family, and my firends are forever. I am also very
passionte for sports. Those sports are, volleyball,
soccer, and basketball. My most favorite is, volleyball, then soccer,then basketball.

Jake’s passion was the ukulele because he started playing the ukulele when he was 4 years old and then he got into it. My most favorite passions are Math, football and tennis.
I like football because I like to watch it and I want to play it. I like Math because it is my favorite subject. I like Tennis because I like to play it on my Wii and I hope to train for it.
Passions are things that you like to do, you enjoy it and it makes you happy.

I liked Jake`s singing and playing and singing.I liked all of the songs.I didn`t have a favorite song.I have a passion for football.I allways play rugby in the yard.Grant allways gets hurt or has a problem.I think that football is awesome!

My passions are Baseball and Jiu Jitsu. I started Jiu Jitsu when I was 4 and I just started baseball. Batting is my favorite thing to do, but it’s challenging to play a team sport instead of doing only martial arts. I am passionate about Jiu Jitsu because I like fighting new people each year at different tournaments. The best feeling is when I win and the referee raises my hand. My favorite submission is the armbar and guillotine choke. I like winning in the NAGA tournament because if you win first place, you win a samurai sword!

My passion is singing. When I sing I feel it in my heart. It makes me feel like I’m a star. God gave me my talent and I love it. I think God gave me a wonderful gift! True to yourself, faith in what you do and believing in yourself. I know that singing is a gift that many people have and I know that someday I am going to be as good as Amy Hanaialii.

One of my biggest passions is singing. Whenever I am in my room I turn on my radio and sing and dance! I walk around the house with my shuffle and sing every song that plays. I sing in the car, the shower, anywhere. Music brings me peace.

I think he practiced 10 times in a day. I think his mom taught him 5 songs a day and he practiced those 5 songs a day. Does Jake like to sing and dance and play the ukulele at the same time.

You have to practice every day to get better so you can get good at it.Like I practice and I got better and my cousin because one time she was bad at singing, but now she is good because she practiced and practiced and she was good.
