Today we talked about how important it is to WONDER and be curious about the world around us. Last week when we read about the record-breaking pumpkin that Christy Harp grew, we started to wonder about a lot of things. We’re working on trying to answer our questions about Mrs. Harp’s pumpkin, but now I’m wondering, what else do you wonder about? Why? Share some of your “wonderings” here!

I wonder about a lot of things because I am mostly curious. I wonder how big will the sun be in the future? I wonder how many cars could fit on an aircraft carrier like the USS Midway? I wonder how far a rocket could travel in space?

Pumpkin seeds cost? How many pumpkins do you plant one by one a day? How many seeds was inside the hhhhuuuuggggge Pumpkin.

I wonder how Christy Harp is going to get that BIG pumpkin to where she is going? How many hours did she wait outside of her house? Also how BIG was her husben’s pumpkin was it BIG or was it small?

I learned that wondering and being curious is very good to be so you can be smarter. You can be curious but not too curious or you will get in trouble.

Somtimes I wonder about my dog Sassy.I wonder about her because when I am at shool I don’t know what she is doing.In my brain I say hmmmmmmm?I wonder what Sassy is doing?

Why does the day have to end at 12:00?Why does the keyboard have to be how it is?Why can`t it be in alphabetical order?Why is there day and night?Why is there time?

I think it is so cool to wonder because it can lead us to something else. Like today we used different websites and we found out what Christy harps email adress was we did that using all our qestions.We can use qestions to get answers we want to hear and sometimes answers we don’t like. Kids learn a lot by asking questions.

I wonder if Christy Harp is going to give us the pumpkin seeds as we posted OH AND GUSSE WHAT I JUST WONDERD! but that is a good thing because everyone wonders and that is a good thing because when kids wonder alot that means that they are learning and they are intrastid in learning!

Hi Class!! I loved reading through your wonderings! I answered a few of them in my email to you all, but one that made me laugh on here was about my husband’s pumpkin! It was very big too! 1316 pounds. However he was very sad because I beat him in our little contest this year. We’ve been competing with each other for 8 years and he’s never lost by 400 lbs before! haha. His tomato was 7.1 pounds; a new Ohio record and not far off of the world record!

I wonder if, even though we’re going to be in different classes, we can all(as Papa Hawai’iloa) make the walking and jogging field trips again for all of next year. For all FOUR quarters. Now THAT’S a school record!
P.S:Maybe if we work hard enough, maybe we can make all the field trips from 2nd grade to 6th grade! Pssstttt! But keep it a secret!
