How to Teach Online (MOOC)

This is where I will keep my documents from the How to Teach Online MOOC.

Sept. 2 Opening day for MOOC(How to teach Online).

Aloha Discussion

1.  What is your intention for this course (why are you here)?
I intend to learn what I can to improve my skills online.
2.  What issues do you think are important?
Having each lesson “Flow and Connect” is important to me, not to
mention the intrinsic use of what the end users are learning in the
MOOC are valuable as well.
3.  How will you contribute?
I will contribute not only from within my blog page, but within my
faculty that I serve here on my campus.
4.  How would you like to see community develop among participants?
Communities usually develop via social media first, and that’s alright
with me.  Blogs, Google +, FB, and Twitter are great springboards into
bigger and greater things.

5.   These types of courses are new for most people. In fact about 90% don’t
even participate. How will you overcome the fear of learning in the open
and the frustration of using new technology? How do you plan to
courageously work through any setbacks, and not give up?
Knowing that I will grow, learn and improve my technology skills is most
times, enough to keep me going.  Failure is not the enemy if you
consistently learn from your mistakes and persevere.
