Online Safety and Technology Working Group (OSTWG) 2010 report
This report from the National Telecommunications and Information Administration’s Online Safety and Working Technology Group, released Friday, June 4, 2010, advises that scare tactics related to online safety and blocked access to social networking sites is detrimental and does more harm than good to youth.
The GoodWork™ Project is a large scale effort to identify individuals and institutions that exemplify good work – work that is excellent in quality, socially responsible, and meaningful to its practitioners – and to determine how best to increase the incidence of good work in our society.
Our Space:Being a Responsible Citizen of the Digital World
Our Space is a set of curricular materials designed to encourage high school students to reflect on the ethical dimensions of their participation in new media environments. The Our Space collaboration grew out of a shared interest in fostering ethical thinking, and conduct, among young people when they exercise their new media skills.
