About

Aloha!  I am an Instructional Technology Specialist for the high-school at Kamehameha Schools Maui.  I currently support KS faculty and administrators with strategies and solutions to ensure the effective integration of technology into the curriculum. I enjoy working in one-to-one as well as small and large group settings to provide innovative and appropriate instructional technology integration collaboration, training, and support.

I’ve been a member of the Kamehameha Schools ʻOhana now for over 10 years.  I began as an middle school instructor on Maui campus when everyone was still housed on the elementary schools grounds.  After three more years at the high-school as a Hawaiian culture/language teacher, I moved to the Distance Learning department where I taught as and online instructor in three of the school’s nationally recognized online culture-based programs.

This year, I hope to focus much of what I’ve learned about teaching online courses into providing related professional development opportunities for staff here at KSM.  I look forward to sharing more about Blackboard, blogs, and web 2.0 tools with faculty.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.  You can reach me at x23151 , via email at kecua@ksbe.edu, or through the Request Help form found at this blog site. I hope to hear from you soon.
