TI graphing calculator – provided if needed;

lined and graph paper; pen and pencil; ruler; 3 ring folder;

laptop – provided.

Grading:

Type of work

Weight on grade
Classwork:  activities, journals, worksheets, blog,…

25%

Homework:  bookwork, handouts,blog,… Assigned daily.  Due next class. Revisions possible.

25%

Assessments:  unit projects, unit tests, semester exams, binder,…No re-takes.

50%

Full credit:  on time, complete, correct, and neat.  Partial credit awarded.

Semester grade:  averaging 2 previous quarter percentages + semester exam

 Attendance, participation, and work make-up policy:

Attendance is mandatory unless excused by the administration, as indicated in the KSM-HANDBOOK-2014-2015.  Acquire work before a scheduled absence in order to keep up with the pace of the class.  Days allowed to hand in missed work due to excused absence is equal to days missed.  Active participation is encouraged as part of grade and for deeper comprehension of material presented.  No re-takes for any assessments.

Remember, attitude greatly affects aptitude!
