Hoʻomau, i mua!
This demanding college level course meets every other day for the entire school year and is 1 KSM credit.
The overall goal of this AP course is to help haumāna understand & apply the 3 big ideas of AB Calculus:
limits & continuity; derivatives; and integrals & the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus.
Imbedded throughout these big ideas are the mathematical practices for AP Calculus: reasoning w/ definitions & theorems, connecting concepts, implementing algebraic/ computational processes, connecting multiple representations, building notational fluency, & communicating mathematics orally & in well-written sentences.
All students are required to complete summer work reviewing basic precalculus & Algebra 1 concepts prior to entry in this course. This class is highly recommended if pursuing a field in business or science.
Expectations & requirements:
The AP Calculus AB Mathematics Exam is on Tuesday May 5, 2019 8:00am – 11:30am.
