Ho’omaika’i to Students of 5B!

Chianti "Kiki" Motta

A GOOD STEWARD!

Congratulations to Chianti “Kiki” Motta!  Kiki participated in a writing contest sponsored by Mokupāpapa honoring Jacques Cousteau.  While in summer Holomua with Kumu Marcie, she learned about being a good steward to our aina and our kai.  Kiki shared her newly gained mana’o while focusing on the topic of “what is your dream for taking care of our oceans and beaches.”  Out of the many entries from our kula as well as other students in the community, our own Chianti “Kiki” Motta won the Grand prize…which she is so proudly holding in the photo to the right.  CONGRATULATIONS!

SOUNDS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!

Congratulations to Pōmai Evans-Bautista!  Pōma’i is currently in Hershey, Pennsylvania competing in the National Hershey’s Track and Field competition.    She represents not only our state of Hawai’i, but the region which also represents California, Nevada, Utah, and Arizona.  Pōma’i will be competing in the standing long jump event there as well as making wonderful memories that will last a lifetime!  Go Pōmai Go!  We can’t wait to hear all about her adventures!
