Morning Meeting Discussion: A’ole Bullying…

trim.C6erkB

The students and I have been working on identifying what pono behavior would look like in morning meetings, as well as understanding what pono ‘ole behavior is.  We have discussed appropriate tone of voice, how body language can convey a message, and what would be considered bullying behavior.  We have shared how we always need to take into consideration the feelings of our whole team as we “choose” our actions when communicating and collaborating in class, as well as outside of class.  Students feel that we have an honest environment and feel safe enough to let others know their feelings…the class has been working hard on brainstorming ways to move our class from a good one to a great one!   Here’s a video that Anela sent to me to show the team’s mission of taking their kuleana seriously to keep our Kula a bully-free zone!  Teamwork, everyone needs to do their part!  Together, we can change the world!

Great job Travis for being on bully patrol…Travis won a copy of our class calendar for his home for the month of April (see below) with all the dates having the FISH! faces of his FISH!mates!
