FISH! Food for Thought #7: Got Minecraft? Are Games in the Classroom a Good Fit?

Is it a valuable learning tool?

Is it a valuable learning tool?

Hi Students,

Do games belong in the classroom?  Should it be done only on free time?  Does it teach you something, have educational  value that will help you to learn in class?  Is it nonsense?  What are your thoughts AND share specific details, let your voice be heard…share it by posting a comment. (Hint:  you might want to include more than your opinion-search up more info to support your point of view).  We welcome ohana and visitor comments too!  Some of the teachers at Kula Haʻahaʻa are going to be attending a Minecraft training session presented by teachers from Puahou in April…I included!  😉  Remember… BEFORE you post a comment, re-read your writing, would you be proud that the world will see it?, would your ohana be proud of your writing?,
