Ohana Alert: Final Week in January

Diving Deep into a GREAT book!

Diving Deep into a GREAT book!

Days seem to be flying now…take a look at the final week of January.  Just want to share with ohana that students have an assignment of IXL skills to complete.  Please refer to planner for skills and due date.  80% is required or planners will be stamped.  Incomplete skills will negatively impact grades too.  The students also need to come to class with a final legend of choice from Hilo for the speech festival.  They need to use the upcoming days to memorize the legend for preliminaries which will be graded.  (Planners also have a timeline of this).

Mon., Jan. 27-Day 6:  Our Specials teachers have a “Special” day today.  The Tri-campus specials teachers will be meeting today on our Keaʻau campus.  No specials today.  We begin the day by showing our appreciation to Security personnel on campus.

Wed., Jan. 29-Day 2:  Guidance with Mrs. Kaneakua today.  We also Skype with Ms. Shroff, the author of “An Invisible Thread.”  Ask your keiki all about it!  So exciting!

Thurs., Jan. 30-Day 3:  I have a meeting all day.  A substitute will be in class today.

Fri., Jan. 31-Day 4:  Its ALOHA wear day, birthday celebration for our January babies, AND Chinese New Year all rolled into one Friday!  So much to celebrate!
