In class we are studying fractions. My classmates and I are very excited to be doing so many new strategies and assignments in this unit.  This unit wasn’t your average fractions unit. We used our iPads for tests, reviews, and to help us to communicate our level of understanding with google forms. I think that it really shows what we can do and learn using technology. Many of us decided to create video presentations on how to do some of the skills we learned. Below is an example of one. Scan the QR code to find a ‘how to’ video on converting improper fractions to a mixed number. The tutorial was created using Educreations.  http://www.educreations.com/lesson/view/fractions/15904939/?s=lOEBfx&ref=app

A Historical Moment for 5B FISH! Bloggers…

Give some snaps to MISS SOPHIA!  This is a history-making event for us in 5B!  Sophia is taking over the reigns of our blog for this post.  After having ipads in class for a only a few months, students have learned a tremendous amout about apps and what each can do, how to use it efficiently and productivly, and how to use it to share or show their new learnings…combine this with our class blog and here it is!  Sophia took pride in her post to get it “just right,” she followed the writing process to revise and edit her work before sending it out to the world.  Our hope is that you “dive” in often to check out our class blog and look forward to our next student guest bloggers!

The blog post above was created solely by Sophia to share with all of you the happenings in our “FISH!bowl!”   You go, girl!  Congrats to you!  Imua Sophia…Imua Kula Ha’aha’a, Imua Kamehameha!
