Launching Papa ʻElimaʻs Project Kahiau

BaconRanchDevilEggsWith Thanksgiving right around the corner, it reminds all of us how blessed we truly are to be a part of the Kamehameha Ohana.  We are the beneficiaries of Ke Aliʻi Pauahiʻs Vision for her people.  Our campus is definitely world class, but there are many children around the world who are not so fortunate.  Papa ʻElima will launch the start of  “Project Kahiau” for this school year…these are projects that impact our world positively with no expectations in return…except maybe, a full heart and the warmth of aloha!  Hereʻs the first project…The students and I have discussed Operation Christmas Child in class and have decided that as a team, we would donate little items to be packed into shoeboxes to share aloha with our world.  Please kōkua items that would fit into a shoe box that you feel a girl or boy would love to receive at Christmas!  Examples: Toothpaste/toothbrush, shampoo, soap,  small toys, stuffed animals,  books, crayons, tablets, notebooks, pens, pencil, tshirts, hair ribbons, headbands, comb or brush, solar calculator, sunglasses, OR anything that fits into a shoebox!  Kula Haʻahaʻa and Kula Waena have a friendly competition of who can donate the most shoeboxes…please help us…to Make Someoneʻs Day!  We can change the world, One heart at a time!  “E Hana Pūalu Kākou!”  Together, we can…

Project Kahiau #2:  Make a Difference …flyer is going home today with students asking for kōkua (if possible) for donations of teddy bears or child sized blankets.  The haumāna hope to donate these items to the Hawaii Police Department to put in patrol cars to comfort children who are in need of assistance.  Please help! 🙂
