Ohana Alert for the Week of Sept. 30-Oct. 4

Wow…the days are flying by…October will soon be upon us!  Hereʻs the highlights of our upcoming week…This is the last month before the Trimester ends on Oct. 31st.  It is rapidly winding down!  Remember, reading requirement includes 9 genres PER trimester as we shoot for the 1,000,000 word goal by the end of the school year.  (28 120pg.+ chapter books)  Keep reading!  You CAN do it!  Hilinaʻi….believe!  Iʻm working on ways to get ebooks on our iPads too! Of course, weʻll be using our iPads daily 🙂 Yaay! Whoop!  Whoop!  Yippee!

Mon., Sept. 30-Day 1:  Logan is Keiki Alakaʻi today. 🙂  We honor our Aunties and Uncles from Food Service today at Morning Piko for taking care of us by providing all the ono food daily!  That includes the healthy fruits and yummy blueberry filled danishes.  We also go to the PTO Book Fair today as a class.  Please bring your $ in an envelope labeled “Book Fair” & name.  This would be a great time to purchase a book to help out the PTO who do so much for our haumāna as well as work on genre selection too!  Mahalo to Aunty Pohai for always leading the charge to promote the love of reading!

Tues., Oct. 1-Day 2:  This begins our 3rd month together, can you believe how fast the year is flying by?  We have Guidance with Mr. Kudo today.

Wed., Oct. 2-Day 3:  Nā Koa Reward Day #2…Sorry, donʻt know what the day will be, but rest assured, as soon as I get the word, Iʻll be passing it on to all of you!  You can check the blog as well as the planners for updated information.

Fall Break – Oct. 7-11:  NO SCHOOL 🙂  Enjoy sleeping in, staying up late, helping out your ohana, or just relaxing…BUT…Keep on Reading! 🙂
