Ohana Alert for the Week of Sept. 23-27

Hi 5B Families,

Get those calendars out for the upcoming week…**TIP:  Please take a few minutes to look at previous blog posts from this Ohana Alert to the previous Ohana Alert.  This will give you a glimpse of what took place during the past week and allow you the opportunity to dive into our FISH!bowl to see the learning that took place and the happenings of the week.  🙂 

Mon., Sept. 23-Day 2:  Iʻm finally back in the classroom!  Christian Education with Miss Shonnie today.

Tues., Sept. 26-Day 3:  Parent Training Kōkua (If you need assistance to complete the training or if you do not have computer) 5:00-7:00pm at the Elementary Admin. Bldg. conference room.  If you already took the online training using the QR code in a previous blog post, you DO NOT need to attend these trainings.  Attend only if you need assistance to complete it.

Wed., Sept. 25-Day 4:  Swimming for P.E.  Donʻt forget swim clothes and towel.  Parent Training Kōkua: (If you need assistance to complete the training or if you do not have computer) 7:00-8:00am at the Elementary Admin. Bldg. conference room.

Thurs., Sept. 26-Day 5:  ʻAha ʻŌpio officer/representative retreat today.  Our student council officers, Mr. Pres-Brock,  Mr. Note taker Secretary-Xander, Miss Money Manager Treasurer-Ehulani, and Miss Team Rep-Beyonce will be attending a training meeting today at 8-9am.

Fri., Sept. 27-Day 6:  D-Day!  iPads are rolling out in class today!  Students will receive their very own ipads and take a giant leap into 21st century learning!  Listen closely, you might hear the cheers from where ever you are at 8:30am!  Students are also going to be participating in a special art lesson with well-known Hawaiʻi artist Kathleen Kam in art today!  Mahalo Mrs. Rosehill for making this wonderful learning opportunity happen for all of our FISH! Look forward to seeing the beautiful creations soon!  Be on the lookout for the 1:1 ipad handbook today that will be going home with students.  Please complete the Student/Parent agreement form and return to class by Friday, Oct. 4th.

HEADS UP for next week:  ** Our class will visit the PTO Book Fair on Monday, Sept. 30th…Students will be allowed to purchase books during our class visit.  Please place $ in an envelope labeled with name on that day if purchasing books.  This is a great way to encourage reading, researching different genres and finding books of interest by looking over the book fair flyer together.
