In Honor & Remembrance of Mr. Charles Reed Bishop

 

The students of Kamehameha Schools- Hawai’i campus in Kea’au, Hawai’i honored Mr. Charles Reed Bishop today at convocation. It would be his 190th birthday, he was born on January 25, 1822. Mr. Bishop was instrumental in helping Ke Alii Pauahi’s vision become a reality. At a time when funds were not readily available, he contributed his own personal funds to help to start what we know as Kamehameha Schools. We, the Kamehameha Ohana honor and mahalo you!
