Ohana Alert for the Week of Nov. 14-18

I hope that this long weekend was an enjoyable time well spent with ohana!  During our time together, remember to share the aloha for our veterans who have bravely served our country with much personal sacrifice.  There are many still in harms way and their devotion to our country should always be appreciated.  We mahalo all our past and present heroes who kahiau so we can live a free thriving life!

Parents: Conference date/time confirmation slips were sent home on Thursday, Nov. 10th with your child.  I also shared how we can all prepare for Student-Led Conferences and maximize our time together.  If you haven’t received it, please check in backpacks.

Monday, Nov. 14: Day 3- Students: Comments due to me for last video post by the start of the  school day.  In addition to our regular kuleana, students will be working hard this week on preparing their progress folios for ohana.  We look forward to sharing our successes a growth so far this year.

Tuesday, Nov. 15: Day 4- Keiki Alaka’i- Aukai

Wednesday, Nov. 16: Day 5- Keiki Alaka’i- Kealapono

Thursday, Nov. 17: Day 6- Keiki Alaka’i- Auli’i.  5B hands over the reigns of Keiki Alaka’i kuleana to grade 4 beginning tomorrow.  Well done haumana of 5B!  I have received many comments on how you represented yourselves, your class, your school, and your ohana well!

Friday, Nov. 18: Day 1- Aloha Wear Day!  Show your school spirit by showing your “aloha!”  Makahiki:  The students will be participating in makahiki as part of their p.e./hawaiian curricula in school today.  We will be sure to take many photos & post it on our class blog so ohana can see all the learning and FUN!
