Picture Books in ‘Ōlelo Hawai’i

The students had a great time looking through all the wonderful picture books that Mrs. Nae’ole-Wong loaned them. All of the picture books are written in the Hawaiian language so, the students were combining their knowledge of the language with their knowledge gained in reading to infer about the story and the genre! The students are planning on having great vocabulary lessons as well as language lessons. Translating is going to be a blast! Reading is important in EVERY language!
