Aloha! Konichiwa! Hola! Howzit! A 5B Greeting Awaits You!

No matter what language you greet someone in, it is still a greeting!  A greeting  creates a feeling.  The feeling is so contagious too.  The students & I have been working on how to properly greet everyone in class.  We have created a set of agreements that will help us to do just that.

Really listen to each other

Focus and Make Eye Contact

Have Good Body Posture

You are allowed to pass, but the team is willing to kōkua (Passing ok, but not constantly.)

EVERYONE’S  Mana’o Counts EQUALLY!

Students: Share your mana’o on Morning Greetings with your ohana!  Share details of what we do and how we feel after.  After you have a great time sharing with family, please briefly comment on how morning greetings make you feel and explain why.  Please post comment by Friday, Aug. 12, 2011 @ 7:45am.

Ohana: Together, we strive to help our haumana thrive!  Please take a few minutes to “talk stories” with your child about our morning greetings in class.  If you have time to comment, we’d love to hear what you think.
