First Day of School

From the Desk of Mrs. Ah Hee

Jitters, Nerves, Excitement, Sleepiness,  & Thrills…We all came to school having many different feelings, but left thinking that time sure flew by today! 2:40pm came too soon!

We began our day with a Welcome Back assembly at Keaka Playcourt.  We were greeted by Mrs. Naeole-Wong and Dr. Fortuna, met our new schoolmates,  learned about Ho’okipa from Kumu Crabbe which means to greet with respect, and found out that our dining hall has new cups for milk from Uncle Bruce.  Kumu Marcie shared that we will be having ‘Aha Opio elections in the near future.  We ended with the heartfelt singing of our alma mater “Sons of Hawai’i.”  What a great way to begin our day and we will be working together to ensure all our days are just like this one!  Imua Papa ‘Elima B!

If you were to desribe your first day in 5th grade in ONE word, what would it be?  Ohana, please feel to describe how you felt when you were a 5th grader too!  Together, we strive to thrive!
