All of the FISH! worked hard in researching, writing, practicing, and performing their speeches for our annual speech festival which was held on Friday. Our speech festival is now called Lamakū, which means the torch or the light that shines the way or path. So fitting as the students needed to share their light! This year, the students honored Mrs. Pai, who recently retired, for her hard work and dedication to Kula Ha’aha’a. She was the founder of this great event! Mahalo Mrs. Pai! Ho’omaika’i to our 5B finalists Ciana, who presented “Sleep” which persuaded us that sleep so important and that school should start 30 mins. later and Kai, who presented his persuasive speech “TechNology” which focused on the negative effects of too much technology! Both of them did a fab job! 🙂 Click on the video above, you be the judge 🙂
