Process

Kamehameha Schools – Kealapono ʻOhana Engagement (‘OE) team uses a replicable capacity building ‘ohana engagement process that honors the strengths of partnerships between ‘ohana (families), kula (schools) and kaiāulu (communities) to support our keiki’s success. This process includes 3 phases; ENVISION, ENGAGE, and EVALUATE.

ENVISION Analysis 

    • Working with schools ‘OE shareholders (Leadership, Faculty/Staff, Parent/Caregiver, Community, etc)
    • Defining ʻOhana Engagement
    • Identifying an ʻOE vision 
    • Creating ʻOE goals

ENGAGE Design and Implementation

    • Designing an ʻOE Action Plan
    • Supporting for implementation

EVALUATE Data Collection and Interpretation

    • Event evaluation
    • Year-end evaluation
