2015 CFP Nat’l Championship Game: Viewing party

Monday represented the culmination of the 2015 college football season with the inaugural College Football Playoff National Championship Game taking place between Ohio State and Oregon. The Ducks ultimately fell to the Buckeyes, 42-20, but it was an event the gentlemen of Nae’ole Hale were looking forward to throughout the weekend. The boys were allowed to watch the 3:30 p.m. game and eat dinner in the Hale. Mahalo to the dining hall staff for accommodating us and making tasty steaks for us to enjoy.

Many of the boys cheered on the Oregon Ducks, led by Heisman-winning quarterback and St. Louis alum Marcus Mariota. The Ducks boast a couple of other Hawaii products in standout defensive lineman DeForest Buckner (Punahou) and Kamehameha graduate Koa Ka’ai, whose mother, Pua, serves as principal for our middle school:
