Tribes Agreements

Kamehameha Middle School utilized the Tribes Learning Community program. The primary purpose of the Tribes process is to assure the healthy development of every child and each one has the knowledge, skills and resiliency to be successful in a rapidly changing world. By following the Tribes Agreements, teachers provide a safe learning environment and students learn to respect their peers. Students are encouraged to practice Tribes on a daily basis.

E ho‘olohe pono (listen carefully) – Attentive listening

E hō ‘ihi (show respect) – Mutual respect

Mai ‘ōlelo ‘ino (no talk stink) – No “put downs”

E kāpae (pass) – The right to pass and participate later

E mahalo aku (be thankful) – Show appreciation
