This pahu has been made by the Pū‘ulu Olonā team consisting of Gay Murakami, Michael Bright, Leslie Kang, Carolyn Smith, and Brad Cooper as their team pahu. The name is related to the pattern meaning, but it also shows the love that all of us as a team members are bound in love with each other. The pattern represents three strands of olonā which are braided together to give the kaula more strength. One strand represents the haumāna, one represents the kumu, and the center strand that entwines the other two is nā waiwai Hawai‘i- Kuleana, which is the value associated with Pū‘ūlu Olonā.

Eō Pu‘akamekealoha!
