Timeline of Events

How to Migrate Your Data

Email AttachmentsBackup Process
While you will still be able to send, receive and view emails associated with your student email address, email attachments may not be available. Important email attachments should be backed up as a precaution.1. Locate the email with the attachment
2. Download the email attachment
3. Save the file to an external storage device or upload to personal cloud storage (i.e. @gmail.com, @outlook.com, @apple.com etc.)
Local Files (Desktop, Downloads, Photos etc.)backup Process
After returning your laptop during Senior Check-out, you will no longer be able to physically access your laptop and any files stored locally on your laptop. Backup and save any files you want to keep prior to returning your device.1. Locate the file/files
2. Save the file to an external storage device or upload to a cloud storage location tied to a personal account.
Microsoft Servicesbackup Process
With the exception of email, all data associated with your Microsoft Account (i.e. OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint Online etc.) will be deleted by December 31st of your graduation year.1. Visit onedrive.live.com.
2. Login with your school email.
3. Select the files/folders you want to keep.
4. Click Download to save them to your device.
5. Save the file to an external storage device or upload to a cloud storage location tied to a personal account.
Google Servicesbackup Process
All data associated with your Google Account (i.e. Google Drive, Google Photos, Google Classroom, YouTube etc.) will be deleted by December 31st of your graduation year.1. Visit takeout.google.com
2. Make sure you are signed in with your school account in the top right hand corner.
3. Select Google Drive (and any other services you want to export).
4. Click Next Step.
5. Choose Download Once and your preferred file format.
6. Click Create Export
7. You’ll receive a download link sent to your school email address (note: this may take some time).
8. Save the file to an external storage device or upload to a cloud storage location tied to a personal account.

Note: Remember to sign-in with your personal account when trying to access your personal cloud storage location.
