GlobalProtect is a VPN service that allows student laptops the ability to connect to KS network resources even when not physically on-campus. There are also additional protections enabled while connected to GlobalProtect to help mitigate online risks and vulnerabilities. For these reasons students should ALWAYS be connected to GlobalProtect when connecting to a network.
How to Connect
Note: If prompted for the portal address, enter: gp.ksbe.edu
- Connect to a WiFi network
- Click on the GlobalProtect icon in the top right icon bar
- Enter your username (i.e. k##______) and password
Troubleshooting
- Refresh the connection.
- If refreshing the connection doesn’t work then restart your laptop.
- If restarting your laptop doesn’t work then go into the settings of Global Protect so that you can delete your portal address (gp.ksbe.edu) and re-add it.
- If deleting and re-adding the portal address doesn’t work then restart your laptop as well as restart your home wifi network.
