Nā Lei O Kaiona

Nā Lei O Kaiona was established in 2003 by Kumu Moses Crabbe and Kumu Pumehana Silva. It’s purpose is to help our keiki learn the cultural practices of hula. As the elementary Hawaiian ensemble, we meet once a week and perform both on and off campus. Keiki have participated in our school concerts, PTO Ho‘olaule‘a, and May Day. We have also performed at various community events and facilities in Hilo, such as the Nā Pua No‘eau Family AfFair and our Hilo Veterans home.

Registration is conducted at the beginning of each year. Students in grades 1 – 5 are invited to participate. Parents can review the informational flyer and registration procedures on the page entitled “registration” or click here.

Enjoy some of our past experiences.
