Earlier this week our kula met to honor our second trimester awardees. We honored twenty-four students (two from each class) for the Hawaiian Value award. These students demonstrated the second trimester Hawaiian value, kahiau, to give from the heart without expecting anything in return, above and beyond their fellow classmates. Kumu Crabbe presented the students with a certificate and a beautiful koa bookmark.
Sixty-nine of our students came to school every day during the second trimester – that’s 57.5 days of perfect attendance (no tardies)! Our counselors Mrs. Kāneakua and Mr. Kudo presented the students with special pencils and a certificate of achievement! Way to go!
Third through fifth graders are also recognized for the academic achievements. Students who attain a 3.5 – 3.9 GPA are awarded the Principal List honor. There were twenty-one students who were worked hard and achieved this honor. Mrs. Kanehailua presented these students with a certificate and a very cool bag tag.
Hoʻomaikaʻi to all for their efforts and outstanding work!
