We recently held our 2nd Trimester Awards Assembly. ʻAha ʻŌpio 4th & 5th grade class representatives, Kamakana Rodrigues, Brock Malani, Anela DePonte and Ryzen Dasalla, narrated the program. With our entire kula in attendance, students were recoginzed for the following accomplishments:
– Perfect Attendance: Students who attended school every day on time (no tardies) during the second trimester (56.5 days). 64 students achieved this award.
– Hawaiian Values Award: Students who have demonstrated the 2nd trimester Hawaiian Value of pilina, received this award. (2 per class)
– Academic Achievement Awards:
* Poʻo Kumu Award (Principal’s Award): Students in grades 3-5 who have achieved a 3.5-3.9 GPA with no M’s or U’s in any Specials classes (15 students achieved this award)
* Poʻo Kula Award (Head of School Award): Students in grades 3-5 who have achieved a 4.0 GPA with no M’s or U’s in any Specials classes (4 students achieved this award)
Student also viewed a quick video of all the activities that transpired during the second trimester and we all sang “Kulaiwi” and our school song at the end of the program.
