At our kula, students are to demonstrate three school-wide behavior expectations at all times. These behavior expectations are: Palekana (Be Safe), Hōʻihi (Be Respectful) and Kuleana (Be Responsible). Each month, grade level teachers select 2 students from their class who have gone above and beyond their fellow classmates in demonstrating these behaviors. We honor these students at our Citizen of the Month luncheon held each month. Parents & ʻohana are invited to have lunch with their “citizens”, sit on the stage in the dining hall to honor and celebrate this accomplishment. Ho’omaikaʻi December Citizens!
