1G: What’s inside a Seed?

The first graders are well into their unit of plants.  First they are looking at seeds to see how they are similar and different. Are the seeds similar in size, shape, color, texture and other features.  Soon they will begin planting their own plants and taking care of them. They’ll have to water and make it gets enough sunlight.  We’re hoping that when the plants grow, they can see the roots, stem and leaves.  Measuring and graphing will document how much their plants are growing.

For now, see how the first graders observed what’s inside a seed.  Enjoy!
