Using The Adobe Creative Suite to Produce Industry Standard Digital Media

Students wanting to explore careers in digital media need to understand the industry standards and Adobe Software has and remains the key component in this field. This session will demonstrate how the Adobe Creative Suite can be used to help students develop the skills they need to enter today’s technology‐driven and global workforce.  An overview of the key components such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Bridge will be demonstrated. Information on career and technical education (CTE) courses and the Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) program for students will be discussed. Attendees will leave this session with a clearer understanding of the importance of producing high quality digital media and the tools that are essential for higher education and the work force.

Elizabeth Garrison is an educator with a passion for technology and creativity. As an Adobe Certified Expert and a member of The Training Associates, Elizabeth has spent the last seventeen years teaching technology to working professionals and students in the classroom and at conferences. Currently, Elizabeth is the Program Leader for the Kailua Catholic Community of Learners, which is part of The Schools of the Future Initiative and she teaches technology at St. Anthony School in Kailua, Hawaii where she launched an electronic portfolio program in 2009.
