Day 1 of recorder in 3B. There are a lot of balls to keep in the air when playing the recorder. Breath control, fingers covering the right holes, rhythm, blending with the ensemble and having fun. We managed to do it all. Yay us!! ( yes that is “Hot Cross Buns” for your listening pleasure). All third graders will be bringing home recorder to leave at home and practice very soon, parents. You might want to discuss an appropriate practice place for your child. We have already ruled out, in the car, in front of the TV, at the dinner table, near mom while she is on the phone or in the bathtub. Have fun.
