Mauka to Makai…What can we learn from the Wailuku River?

What a beautifully blessed day!  Mahalo ke akua.  Our classroom for today was the Wailuku River!  What can we learn from a place?  Our haumana taught each other the answers to this significant question.  They did the research, and prepared creative and engaging lessons that were presented on our journey from mauka to makai.  As the source of ʻike and kumu for today, students shared pertinent historical, cultural, and environmental information through ʻOlelo Hawaiʻi, Moʻolelo, and scientific facts.

Mahalo nui to Anakala John Kahiapo for sharing his ʻike and manaʻo regarding the ecological aspects of our precious ka wai ʻola and native stream animals of Hawaiʻi.
