Third Graders Send First Email!!

The third graders are learning about email etiquette by sending emails to epals in Boston, MA.  They carefully composed and sent their emails and are now patiently waiting for replies!

Google Earthing our Epals!

The third, fourth, and fifth graders were able to take a virtual flight to the school of their epals!  We used google earth to view Lt. Job Lane Elementary School, which is 20 minutes outside Boston!  Check it out!

The third graders did a fabulous job learning about the elements of photography and practicing their Adobe Photoshop skills!  The pictures below really do make us think that a picture can be worth a thousand words!  Great job third graders!

Fourth Graders Study Creation Stories From Around the World

The fourth graders have been hard at work using technology resources to learn about creation stories from other cultures.  After studying the Kumulipo the students were able to compare the Hawaiian creation story with creation stories from all over the world including Japan, India, China, Native American, and others.

Here is a question for those smart fourth graders:

In a comment, talk about a similarity or a difference that you noticed among the different creation stories.
