How has having an iPad in the school improved my learning? (Beyonce – 5B Class Rep)

Having a iPad in school is cool. It increases our learning because we can learn more about technology and apps. We can learn how to make more things on the iPad then on paper. People can easily research things such as a researching a definition and you don’t need to flip pages and get stress on where to find it. You can also know different apps and you can know what app smashing is. App smashing is when you take many different apps and use them to make one big thing. For example if you take Pic Collage and then take it through Thinglink and then save it to your photo gallery.

How iPads help me in the classroom (Brock – ʻAha ʻŌpio President)

Having a iPad in the classroom added to my learning experience by helping me get things faster. For example if I want to search something up it’s right there on google. Also I could get definitions faster then looking in an dictionary. It has also helped me learn more. If I want to learn about something I can search it up. That’s how iPads added to my learning experience.

How an iPad in the classroom has helped me (Sean – 4B Class Rep)

Using an iPad in the classroom has helped when we have to type papers up because to me it is easier to type up papers than write them. I also like the app drawing pad because I like all the tools on the app to help me draw. It is easier for our teachers to get our papers because when you write it, it might get lost. When you have it typed it is saved.

What it means to be an ‘Aha ‘Ōpio officer (Brock)

Being an ‘Aha ‘Ōpio officer means to me that you have more Kuleana. It also means that you are given the opportunity to be a role model and leader for the kula. I have to demonstrate what is good and right through my words and actions for the smaller keiki to follow and show them the pono path. If we don’t do what is pono then others will think that is okay and they will follow you. Being an officer, you should be proud that you can help your Kula improve and that as a leader you have to stand up for what is right and set a good example in school and in the community. Also, being an officer reminds me to be thankful that I’ve earned the trust of my classmates and teachers and to appreciate the blessings from Princess Pauahi.
