Farmer’s Market Huaka’i and Tasting Party

Bargaining, observing, questioning, deciding, all skills necessary in learning about becoming a successful producer/vendor. Here you will see our third graders as consumers but observing with soon to be “producer eyes” at our local Hilo Farmer’s Market. Everyone had the task of purchasing products within their budget for our Tasting/Pilina Party at school in the afternoon. An assortment of healthy snacks and tasty treats were shared amongst 38 third graders and a handful of very helpful parent volunteers.
