Assignment 2 – Name Project due 1/15

Video is a succession of still photography frames. The rapid movement of 30 individual still frames (which flash very quickly) blurs to create the illusion of a moving picture.

HOMEWORK DUE WEDS 1/15:  Tell the story of your names or research what it means.  Use visuals such as photographs to tell the story.  You can choose to do your first, middle, last or nick name, or any combination of them.

Be creative! You decide what you want to tell. For example, it can be:
– it’s meaning
– the story of how your parents chose your name
– what your name means to you
– where it comes from/origin/country etc.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Use 8-10 photos.
2.You must use photos that you take (only 2 may be from the internet or pulled off facebook or any other pre-existing photos, AND PLEASE CITE your SOURCE)
3.  Write the name(s) you are telling the story about somewhere on the paper.

4.  NO CAPTIONS or WORD BUBBLES . . . Remember you’re telling a story just through visuals.

Please use your digital camera, phones or laptops to take photos. You can use Photobooth if needed.  Also, if you need to borrow a digital camera, we have a few that you can use.  Please print out your photos in the PRC (or home printer) prior to coming to class.
