Students are still dancing and having fun with their peers. They are all learning new steps and sequences to old favorites and to some new cultural dances.
Dancing provides many benefits for the body, physical, mental and social. The physical benefits are numerous but one important one is that it gets you moving and active. It can be an aerobic exercise in itself. Mentally it challenges the brain and memory to remember the steps and sequences as the body moves to music and rhythms. Not a very easy thing to do. And lastly, it is often a very social activity that requires cooperation, collaboration, patience, tolerance and the development of the social graces and etiquette needed to be able to socialize in a group.
Enjoy more pictures of grade K doing the “Chicken Dance” and the “Limbo”. As you can see they are having a good time.
