First Hoops, Now Scarves!

Grade two has been learning to be active with a variety of small equipment; small balls, hoops, scarves, beanbags, the parachute and flying discs. They have been learning how to use these objects to improve their alertness, agility, balance and eye-hand coordination.

Often these tasks or challenges encourage them to be able to listen and follow specific multiple step instructions. They also provide them the opportunity to do some tasks individually, with a partner, or in a small group, in which being cooperative is important to their success.

The students have noticed that while doing many of these tasks or challenges they get their hearts pumping and their bodies moving. The best part is that it is fun!
