E kanu i ka ‘ano‘ano Hawai‘i, e mālama i ke kuleana me ke aloha a e kupu, e lālā, e pua a e hua.

Plant the seed of indigenous knowledge, take care of the responsibility with aloha and it will sprout, branch, flower and fruit.

The excellent Hawaiian language and culture student that advances from KES will develop language skills in ‘ōlelo Hawai‘i and acquire ‘ike to practice nohona Hawai‘i thus strengthening his/her identity as a Kanaka Maoli.

Purpose of the blog site:

To enhance Hawaiian language learning amongst our haumāna, mākua and kumu at Ke Kula Ha‘aha‘a o Kamehameha at Kapālama by providing resources for language and culture support at home.
