Welcome Back To School! Had a great Summer?

Aloha e nā Haumāna!

I hope you had a wonderful, fun, and restful summer.  I sure did! This summer my family and I spend three weeks on the mainland.  We traveled to Virginia (Alexandria & Lynchburg), Florida and California. While in Alexandria, we visited Key Elementary School.  My aunt taught a summer writing program called “Handwriting Without Tears.”  The children engaged in some fun hand and finger activities to strengthen their pencil grip when writing.   And Yes, we did spend some time with Mickey, Minnie and all their friends @ Disneyland.  It was Fabulous! I am energized, refreshed, and ready for another Amazing school year!  Can’t wait to hear what you did this summer!

Her presentation included the true story that led to her first book, Lonesome the Little Horse, which relates to friendship & bullying.  Cowgirl Peg also shared a little from her other books that included messages regarding responsibility, goal-setting, believing in     yourself, kindness and respect for humans and animals and making smart choices.
