Up to this point, our kindergarteners have been reading and borrowing books from the fiction (easy) collection. Today, we read the book titled A tree is a plant written by Clyde Robert Bulla. Together we discussed the different features nonfiction books can have (table of contents, labels, photographs, etc.) and when reading nonfiction books we can learn new information.
