Theft on Campus

Aloha All Students

I wanted to address a concern with all of you regarding recent thefts on campus. I am disappointed to report that over the last few week we’ve had thefts from fellow students and teachers. One of the most important values we try to instill in students is trust (Hilina`i). Students and teachers should not feel threatened from those within our school, but we are.

Please note that students caught stealing from fellow students and teachers will be dealt with firmly. Those students who witness these acts should report them to their counselor, teacher or administrator immediately.

Students, please be careful with your personal belongings. Place items in lockers or locked classrooms. Do not leave bags lying around campus, as there are students who are going through bags. Please leave valuable items such as iPods, iPhones, large amounts of money at home.

It’s unfortunate that we have to address this in the manner chosen, but unfortunately we have several students who are abusing everyone’s trust and hurting their fellow classmates.

  1. Maybe we could have an annonymous drop box for items and or clues to whom is doing the violations so that the witnesses feel compramised?
