Hi All – Just to let all students know that we will begin to re-enforce the school rule that students who are tardy (unexcused) to their first class of the day will receive two hours of detention, to be served on the following Saturday. Per our Student and Parent Handbook (pg. 20) students who are late to morning oli will receive detention from his/her respective teacher. This means students need to be at class and ready for oli prior to the tardy bell (7:45am).
Morning Oli is an important part of our school day and our culture, as it represents students showing that they are makaukau for the school day ahead of them, asking permission to be taught, as well as teachers recognizing students and allowing them to receive their knowledge.
