Papa 2 – Wetland Habitats in Hawaiʻi

What is a Wetland Habitat? What is the importance of this habitat?

Wetlands are special places where the land is sometimes covered with water. This water can be fresh or salty. Wetlands can be temporary (last for a little while) or permanent (last a long time). You can find wetlands in places like low areas, along coastlines, next to rivers or lakes, and even in Hawaii’s cloud forests.
