Royal Ball
The Royal Ball annually is held in celebration of Papa Malaa‘o and their growth as ‘ōiwi leaders. Haumāna come to appreciate our Ali‘i through an extended learning experience of their Kings and Queens unit. This year the event was significantly placed to honor both Ke Ali‘i Pauahi and her hānai sister, Queen Lili‘uokalani. In 1892, Lili’uokalani also held a ball for children at ‘Iolani Palace. Our haumāna learn about the continued legacy and aloha that these two Ali‘i had for their nation, especially the children of Hawai‘i.
