Well we made it through our first full week of school with chapel, getting laptops, and our first round of NWEA reading testing.  This week we will be having our NWEA math tests on Thursday and Friday. Congrats also to Makena for being the only student to answer my bonus blog question about where Machu Pichu is… itʻs in Peru.  Great job Makena!!

Welcome Back to School!

Aloha Haumana!
So great to have you back in school filling my classroom with energy! I love it! As we start this new journey, let us remember to work together, help each other, and especially learn from one another. Remember Life is Good and we are indeed blessed especially here at Kamehameha. Looking forward to getting to know all of you better! Here’s an interesting fact about me … I love to travel and have been to many different countries around the world.  One place I’d like to visit is Manchu Picchu. For a small treat, turn into my mailbox (on my desk) the name of the country Manchu Picchu is in. Have fun!

OML Contest #3

Students READ directions CAREFULLY!:

1. Go to the website at the bottom to start your OML contest after you READ all the directions below. Keep this window open to refer back to.

2. You will need to use my email loaiwohi@ksbe.edu to login.

3. The password is “password”

4. Once you’re in you need to find your test (8th math / 7th math) and your name.

5. At the end of the test (15 questions) you MUST click “Score my Test” to view your results.

6. IMPORTANT: Lastly you must click “SUBMIT” or your score will NOT be recorded and it will count your score as ZERO.

7. Go to results page http://www.onlinemathleague.com/results.asp and select grade level and State of Hawaii to view your overall results and check that your score recorded.

Ka Moloka’i Makahiki

This Past weekend I was fortunate to go to Moloka’i and witness this awesome event.  KS Maui sent teams from our Elementary, Middle School and High school.  It was so amazing to be there, kokua and be a part of the excitement!  Here’s some pictures of our MS team!

Online Math League Contest #2

Students READ directions CAREFULLY!:

1. Go to the website at the bottom to start your OML contest Practice and TEST.
2. You will need to use my email loaiwohi@ksbe.edu to login.
3. The password is “password”
4.  Click to login as a Student
5.  Scroll down in the practice area and select one practice test under your grade level to do as a practice.
6.  Wait for Kumu to tell you to stop practicing and start the actual contest.
7.  Go back to that practice area page and click on the box that says “TESTS“
8. Once you’re in you need to find your test (8th math / 7th math) and your name.
9.  No calculators are allowed.  Use the OML Test template to show work.  You will turn this in after the test is over.
9. At the end of the test (15 questions) you MUST click “Score my Test” to view your results and record it at the bottom of your work template.
10.**Please raise your hand to show me your score so I can record it in case there are problems with score uploading.**
6. IMPORTANT: Lastly you must click “SUBMIT” or your score will NOT be recorded and it will count your score as ZERO.  *Screen may not change.
