E Ola! Endorsements: Aloha ʻĀina
Hawaiian Patriotism; love for the land and its people.
To complete an endorsement, students must take between 3.0 to 4.0 credits of classes that are aligned with an endorsement’s concentration and receive a grade of B or above in each class. For more information, please contact your grade-level counselor.

Avoidance of the depletion of natural resources in order to maintain an ecological balance

Hōʻike Examples
Ma ka hana ka ʻike, through doing one learns.
By engaging students in hands-on experiences and reflection, they are better able to connect theories and knowledge learned in the classroom.
Haumāna may select their own hands-on experiences.
Possible hōʻike experiences may include:
- Lamakū reflection
- Community work in loko iʻa, loʻi kalo, mala, etc…
- Internships (Kupu, MAʻO)
